The letters I've read concerning U.S. Rep. John Katko's I-81 town halls totally miss the point.
Congressman Katko recognizes that, before we commit to any one of the proposed options, we need forums that bring all sides to the table and work on developing a consensus.
I attended Congressman Katko's recent town hall in Auburn. Everyone I spoke to was very impressed with both the style of event and Katko himself. Although focused on plans for 81, Katko concluded the town hall by opening the floor up to questions on any topic. Katko really put his money where is mouth is by getting in front of one of the most hot-button issues in central New York.
