On Nov. 6, Election Day, the people have spoken. President Donald J. Trump now has a check-and-balance Congress. He has to try and work with the Democratic House of Representatives. The people are tired of his lying, ignorance, insults and name calling. He has divided this country so bad. New York state wants to legalize marijuana. That is a huge mistake if they do that. Instead bring jobs to our state, not building casinos and legalizing marijuana. Gov. Cuomo, bring jobs, clean up Owasco Lake, Skaneateles Lake and all our Finger Lakes from algae and other water pollution. Next pass a bill for discipline and respect for the parents and schools without being arrested. Parents, discipline yourselves, stop saying the “F” word to your kids in public. You hear this in restaurants, bars, grocery stores, everywhere the “F” word. If you can’t discipline yourselves how are you going to correct your kids? This all starts at home. That goes for bar owners, restaurants, workplace and just shopping stores, wake up! Nobody is afraid of God, only when you're desperate. Parents fighting at ballgames, acting stupid. The politicians, where are you? City officials, the mayor, county legislators; where do you stand on these issues? The church people, where are you, you hear nothing. Christian right, Ralph Reed, Franklin Graham, other minsters and priests. You got two conservative judges on the Supreme Court? Is that all you care about? You don’t say anything about President Trump’s lying, lying behavior. If we don’t make the change we will go down in this country. Think about this real hard. Ask yourself what you really want to do. Make some common sense decisions before it is too late for all of us.

I want to wish everyone in Cayuga County and throughout New York State a Merry Christmas and a healthy New Year. God bless the United States of America.
