In the hit section of Tuesday's Hits and Misses column, there was one very special Cayuga County-area event that was not mentioned that I strongly feel should have been there.
I went to the Christmas Eve morning showing of the movie "Polar Express" at Track Cinema at our mall. They showed the movie in all four theaters that morning - and had also the morning before - for just 25 cents, served free hot chocolate (see the movie!) and even had Santa there after the shows. All four theaters were all mobbed with delighted children - some in their pjs (see the movie!)- and adults (I LOVE movies on the big screen! Next year I’ll go in pajamas also.) It was a truly delightful and very special way to begin family Christmas Eve celebrations.
I made a point of speaking to them after the show to thank them for such a wonderful and moving experience. I am hoping that they will continue this tradition in years to come.
