On Friday, Feb. 15, at about noon, while walking outside the Famous Footwear store on Grant Avenue, I tripped (or stumbled) over my own feet and fell flat on my face. Within a few seconds four people stopped their cars or walked over to make sure I was all right and helped me up. They made sure I was OK, and that I didn’t require medical assistance. Within five minutes I was on my way home, with a skinned knee and a bruised ego. I didn’t know these folks and may or may not see them again. But I hope I can reward their thoughtful kindness by paying it forward. I would encourage everyone to follow these wonderful folks' example. I also intend to update my first aid/CPR skills. Thank you again to the wonderful people who stopped to help me on Friday.
