The Auburn Doubledays game against the Batavia Muckdogs was postponed due to rain Wednesday evening.
No makeup game has been announced.
Roughly four hours before the scheduled first pitch, the Doubledays posted a picture of the tarp covering the field on Twitter with the message "Due to the heavy rain that's currently hitting Auburn, tonight's contest between the Doubledays and Batavia has been postponed. A makeup game will be announced at a later date, and our community night with Upstate University Hospital will be rescheduled. Stay tuned for more info"
The Doubledays are scheduled to play the Muckdogs in Batavia Thursday and Friday before a two-game set with State College on Saturday and Sunday.
With four games left before the all-star break, the Doubledays own a 28-22 record. Auburn is 1 1/2 games behind Pinckney Division-leading Mahoning Valley, but leads the wild card race by one game over Staten Island.
