Auburn native Tim Locastro was selected to play in the Northwest League All-Star Game Wednesday.
Locastro was one of seven Vancouver Canadians (Class A Short Season) to be selected. The game will be played Aug. 5 in Eugene, Oregon.
Locastro has batted .313 with three doubles, a home run, 12 RBI and 25 runs scored over 35 games this season in Vancouver.
The former Ithaca College shortstop, who was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 13th round in 2013, spent last season with Bluefield of the Appalachian League, where he batted .283 with five doubles, three triples, a home run and 13 RBI.
