Auburn native Tim Locastro played a key part in the Arizona Diamondbacks' win over the Atlanta Braves Wednesday night.
Locastro entered the game as a pinch-hitter in the 10th inning. He reached on a throwing error by Braves pitcher Jesse Biddle.
After Locastro advanced to second on the error, Diamondbacks CF Jarrod Dyson and LF David Peralta walked to load the bases.
With the bases loaded, Diamondbacks RF Adam Jones walked. Locastro scored on the play — what would up being the game-winning run.
Diamondbacks closer Greg Holland entered the game in the bottom of the 10th and recorded his fourth save in his club's 3-2 win.
Locastro has three hits and three runs scored since being promoted by the Diamondbacks. Even when he's not getting hits, he's found a way to get on base. He has a .500 on-base percentage in nine games this season.
