No. 5 Cayuga Community College men's soccer defeated No. 4 Camden on penalty kicks Thursday at Herkimer College to advance to the NJCAA National Semifinal, which is scheduled for Friday.

The two teams battled through a scoreless 90-minute regulation, followed by two scoreless 10-minute overtimes.

Cayuga outscored Camden in the PKs 4-2, with Mauricio Kosegarten, Ryan Higgins, Matthew Devlin and Eduardo Olavide converting. Daniel Burdaspar finished with eight saves in the shutout.

Cayuga will face No. 1 Nassau Community College in the national semifinal Friday at 4 p.m. at Herkimer.

The ”two squads played great soccer in this match ... and it’s unfortunate for someone to have to lose this game," CCC coach Chris Davison said in a news release, "but we are excited to get to advance!”
