Dan Entenmann is one of two Auburn graduates who play for the Le Moyne men's lacrosse team.

The Le Moyne men’s lacrosse team raced out to a 9-2 lead by halftime and cruised to a 14-4 victory over Mercy in the NCAA Division II quarterfinals Saturday afternoon.

Auburn native Dan Entenmann recorded a pair of goals and assists for the Dolphins. The senior added four ground balls and one caused turnover.

Fellow Auburn graduate Kaiden Tubbert got into the game, but not record a point for the Dolphins.

Le Moyne hosts Merrimack in the semifinals Saturday, May 18. The game time is scheduled for noon at Ted Grant Field.

Division I Men’s

Army battled back after falling behind by five goals in the first quarter, but ultimately fell short, 13-8, against Penn in the first round. Army’s head coach is Auburn native Joe Alberici.

In other first round Division I action, Syracuse’s season ended at the hands of Loyola, 15-13.

Division III Men’s

St. John Fisher College’s comeback against Williams came up short in the third round, 17-12.

Jordan-Elbridge graduate Zach Wagner tallied a pair of assists for the Cardinals. Fellow Jordan-Eldridge grad Nick Hallinan and Skaneateles’ Tyler Priest didn’t get into the game.

Division III Women’s

Bailey Herr (Skaneateles) recorded two goals and one assist, as Ithaca beat Meredith 13-10 in the opening round.

Ithaca advances to the quarterfinals to take on host Washington & Lee Sunday.
