Local sports roundup. 

Brendan Williams and Jacob Sanders combined to toss a shutout in the Auburn baseball team's 2-0 victory over Cortland Tuesday.

Williams struck out 10 and allowed one hit and four walks over the first six innings. Sanders then fanned two in the hitless final frame.

Ryan Birchard had one hit and one run, while Mark Locastro had an RBI double. Williams added an RBI, and Sanders and Jacob Coleman each had a hit.

Auburn hosts Ithaca on Saturday.

SOFTBALL

Jamesville-DeWitt 3, Auburn 1: Katelyn Stoddard had two hits (double) and one run for the Maroons.

Abby Marinelli and Grace Baranick each added a double. Morgan Marl pitched all seven innings, striking out five and allowing nine hits, three walks and a single earned run.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Auburn 23, East Syracuse-Minoa 9: Natalie Calandra-Ryan led the way for the Maroons with six goals and four assists, while Gabby McGinn added three goals and three assists.

Gracie Giannettino scored four times, Carrissa Hlywa chipped in a pair of goals and assists, and Abbie Izzo had a hat trick. Caroline Netti tallied a goal and three helpers, Alayna Foos netted two goals, and Jillian Alberici and Emma Donovan each scored once.

Lexy Driscoll made four stops in net and Quinn Brady finished with two saves.
