The Port Byron volleyball team earned a 3-0 sweep of Pulaski on Monday night. The Panthers won by scores of 25-18, 25-16 and 25-17.

Rileigh Gray led Port Byron with eight aces, three kills, 15 assists and two digs. Nadia Edley added three aces, nine kills, three blocks and a dig. Jessica Suslik had six digs and a kill.

Port Byron is 1-1 on the season and next hosts CBA on Thursday.

Tully 3, Weedsport 0: The Warriors lost by scores of 21-25, 11-25 and 23-25. Nina Lin and Alena Manchestor each had three kills. Tiana Kreydatus added six digs and Abbey Grady had a pair of aces and two kills.

The Warriors are 1-2 in the league and 1-2 overall. Weedsport's next game is Thursday at Faith Heritage. 

BOYS BASKETBALL

APW 57, Port Byron 52: Scott Compson paced the Panthers with 19 points and eight rebounds. Nick Jefferds added 13 points and six rebounds.

Port Byron (1-1) hosts Pulaski on Friday.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Pulaski 47, Port Byron 35: Grace Ford's 13 points led the Panthers. Rileigh Luste contributed 14 rebounds.

BOWLING

The Union Springs/Port Byron bowling team hosted Newark Valley at Starlite Lanes. The boys took two points and the girls all four. 

Michael Jesmer had a 539 and Mitchell Hamel rolled a 661 (221, 244, 196).

Makayla Smith shot a 423, Jada Kimball had a 425, Alexis Colbert rolled a 443, Colleen Jump added a 523 and Keri Jesmer contributed a 608 (210, 160, 238).

The team will host Candor on Wednesday at Starlite.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Cayuga 76, Clinton 49: Playing in their first game since Nov. 10, the Spartans picked up their fourth win in six contests. 

Erica Helzer led the team in scoring with 19 points along with eight rebounds, five assists and three steals. Tiara Young added 16 points, nine rebounds, three assists and three steals, while Payton Noeller finished with 13 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals. Hanna Keyser recorded nine points, 11 rebounds and five assists. 

Cayuga (4-2) faces Davis College at home Tuesday. 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

NE Clinton 54, Moravia 44: On Saturday, Grace Wasleski paced the Blue Devils with 14 points. Sierra Lyon added nine points and five assists and Brianna Steger also scored nine points. Gabby Kehoe grabbed nine rebounds.

Moravia 46, Beekmantown 28: On Friday, Wasleski's 14 points helped lead the Blue Devils to the win. Kate Baylor contributed 10 points and Maddy Kelly added nine. Kehoe had 11 rebounds and Lyon dished out 10 assists and made seven steals.
