The Auburn Bantam hockey team took second place in the Norfolk-Norwood 2017 Veterans Day Victory Tournament last weekend.

The Simmonds, Brady and Loi Ice Hawks beat Norfolk-Norwood 7-1 in the opening game Friday. Jack Chapman, Ethan Moore and Trey Masters each scored twice.

Raiden Ferguson added a goal, Garrett Cochrane and Jordan Wood each had an assist, and Jackson Siddall made 13 saves in the win.

Auburn tied Thousand Islands 2-2 on Saturday. Masters and Matt Donovan each tallied a goal, Mitchell White had an assist and Lucas Hooker stopped 14 shots.

Auburn's Siddall recorded a 16-save shutout in a 3-0 win over Malone in the second game Saturday. Donovan, Chapman and Moore scored, while Moore, Cochrane and Christian Bouley each had one assist.

Hooker had 22 saves, but Ice Hawks fell to Rouses Point 5-0 in the championship game.



Canandaigua 3, Auburn 1: Jack Pineau scored the lone goal for the Boyle and Anderson Ice Hawks Saturday.

Carter Mizro and Owen Kime each had an assist, while Mason Jones made 23 saves in goal.

Oswego 5, Auburn 4: Pineau scored twice on Sunday.

Elise Clifford (one assist) and Nico Tardibone (two assists) also netted one goal each for the Ice Hawks. Claire Diffin, Ryan Huber and Mizro each had one assist, and AJ Murphy made 13 saves in net.


Auburn 6, Center State 4: Tyler Calkins recorded a pair of goals and assists to lead the Ice Hawks to victory Saturday.

Liam Wride added two goals, while Jonah Young and Gavin Regis each had one. Teagan Wilbur added an assist.

Aidan Baum finished with 14 saves for the win.

Salmon River 6, Auburn 4: Calkins scored twice, while Regis and Max Laraway rounded out the scoring. Matt Hoey and Wride each had one assist, and Baum had 21 saves.



Weedsport 38, Skaneateles 28: Sarah Carroll paced Weedsport with 12 points.

Mariah Quigley added 10 points, while Frannie Milton finished with six points.
